In reality we are rejecting our allknowing, all-powerful and loving Creator. If this attitude towards God continues until death there are serious consequences…an eternity separated from God in hell…we need help! Fortunately God has done something incredible for us... WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT EASTER? THE ANSWERS THE PROBLEM THE CONSEQUENCES What do you know about Easter? We have prepared a short test for you... What are the 2 most important days of Easter? What major historical events are remembered at Easter? Whyis Easter important for you? Answers... 1. Between March and April. 2. Jesus Christ. 3. Good Friday and Easter Sunday. 4.The death of Jesus on the cross (Good Friday), Jesus coming back to life (Easter Sunday). 5. Easter is a time to reflect on the fact that Jesus Christ has made a way for you to experience forgiveness and new life. To understand why this is so important for you we need to begin with... The Bible is clear that we all need forgiveness as each of us has offended God by our attitudes and actions: If you're not convinced of this truth then please take a look at the Ten Commandments… If we tell one lie we are a liar, we steal anything regardless of its value, we are a thief in God's sight, if we use God's name as a swear word we are guilty of blasphemy,…the list goes on. '…all have sinned…' (Romans 3:23) THE SOLUTION THE GIFT God does not want anyone to go to hell…the Bible says Jesus (the perfect Son of God) willingly suffered and died on a cross to take the punishment we deserve on Himself (we broke the law and Jesus paid our fine). God then raised Him from the dead three days later and now offers forgiveness (a perfect record) and new life to everyone. However, this is not automatic, like any gift, we must receive it. “God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.†(Romans 5:8). If you have not received this gift then talk to Jesus this Easter…admit that you have offended God by your attitudes and actions, turn back to Him for forgiveness and ask Jesus to enter your life and help you become the person He wants you to be.
