Pastor Anger: Topic: SIN has many meanings Sin (When thinking of this you maybe ought to think of the serpent) The devil originally may have had legs? (Romans 3:23) For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God;.....The average Christian will probably sin about 500,000 times. We need to choke at sin. Our sins are not all confessed. We have a habit of grouping many of our sins into a ball and confessing them together. Glossing over all the sins at the end of the day. Having a quick confession session before falling asleep. Whereas we need to individually confess them.

The heart: Our heart is desperately wicked. (Jeremiah 5:17). If we get our heart involved in confession of sin than we will have a shorter list to confess. We have 3 different components to our heart. We have 1. The mind, 2. The emotion, 3. The will.

We live in a wicked world. There will be a time when in society, we will struggle to get the name of Jesus Christ out of our mouths, for the wickedness of our world today.

Common words for sin (Ex34:6,7) Inquity, Transgression and Sin. The serpent is a snake. 98% of people that get bitten by the snake asked for it. 1. They tried to play with it. 2. They tried to pick it up. When sin comes YOU RUN! Dont converse with the sin. Sin will take hold of you! God is looking at the bullseye for our life. We, however are looking to get any place on the board. Unless we are close to God, we will not survive. (Gods moral standard). The number 1 problem in New Zealand is broken homes, lack of wisdom.

Iniquity: 1. To make crooked 2. To twist something 3. To pervert something. (a twisted, crooked thinker (deliberately sinning) (2 Peter 3:16) As also in all is epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

Transgression: 1. Rebel, 2. Revolt 3. stride contrary to the Word of God.

Sin: Missing Gods moral standard. We have crossed over Gods line and there are consequences. Eg, Electric fence, glass wall and dogs.( Voltage, glass smash, and dogs)We are not to play with sin. We are to run, flee, from youthful lusts. We know you did wrong, but we do it anyway! The apostle Paul said....The things I want to do I dont do and the things I dont want to do, I do
Pastor Piper Topic: Gods will / Following Gods will for our lives. Do we have a Willing Spirit to Serve God, Anytime (II Peter 3: 1-11). Scoffers: Walking after their own lusts. We are not to do this. We are to be discouraged to do this. (v9) God is never slack concerning His promises, He is longsuffering. He will never back out of His promises. (v5) People willingly turning away from God, willingly are ignorant (lacking knowledge) (v7) Ungodly men reserved for perishing (ignorant and will perish. Weve trusted God for our lives for salvation, do you want to follow on for the LORD. Theres pretty much two choices Gods will (What God wants for us)and The Flesh(What we want to do) (Hebrews13:7,17) (v7)Remember them which have the rule over you, (v17) obey those that have rule over you. E.g. sewage job, he, submitted willingly to the job that was not pleasant. He did not want to do this job, but out of submission and obedience and a serving heart, a willing Spirit to help out for the LORD. Its easy to be spiritual at camp, at church, lets be spiritual at home also. Do it with joy, with a willingness, with a willing spirit, serving attitude. If you have a willing Spirit, God will prepare you for any service to follow Gods will to touch your heart. Have a right spirit and attitude.

God is not interested in your sincerity. Gods not interested in our best either. God wanted the Lamb thats what He wanted. It had to be an animal sacrifice. It was to be a male, It also had to die by the shedding of blood. Memories are in our heart. We thought something was gone but it started to grow again. (II Sam12:13) Davids story of Bathsheba hid thinking his sins were forgiven. We had not to be in that place in the beginning. A place where we shouldnt go. (v13) And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin, thou shalt not die. Holiness Truth and Love. Opposite of truth. (Genesis 15:16) 1. Unholy 2. Critical 3. Fighting 4. Gossip. (II Samuel 24:10) And Davids heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the LORD, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, the people will die because of the sin. (v13). There was 70,000 men that died, (v16) And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now thine hand. God, dad mum, family, workmates, schoolmates, are all affected by our sin. We all have GPSs recording everything we do, we will not get away with anything.

1. Flattery (building oneself above others), thinking oneself higher than others. The character on the inside is what counts.

2. Its convincing ourselves we are right when we are wrong. (Psalms 36:1). When the dam is full will tip over and it will be ugly. He deviseth mischief upon his bed. (Isaiah 57:17). The iniquity of his covetousness (reaching out)(stretched out) when you had to have it...

3. Laziness (Gen 3:19) In the sweat of thy face. Work. Go work, jobs odd jobs etc, laziness can be combated by working. God said he hates the sin of laziness. It is in our hearts where the sin of laziness is. We must confess our sins tonight. These are Hinderances.

Pastor Morgan, Topic: Crossroads

Crossroads illustration. Physical crossroads in my life. Brother Morgan faced three different crossroads in his life. 1st crossroad: Salvation, God had him at a crossroads for about a year. He was saved as a teenager.

2nd crossroad: The second crossroad for him was regarding going into the ministry. If God is working in our lives we need to do this.(II Corinthians 6:2)(for he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) (Romans 10:13) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

3rd crossroad: The third crossroad for him was for marriage. He was praying about this and commented that there could have been the potential to making good and bad decisions here. Thankfully he made the right decision. (I Peter 1:7) Trial of the faith.

Illustration of the heart: the trialling we go thru at crossroads is like a tea, teabag in hot water. That is what it is like with us. We are tried in hot water. What are we going to do when going thru crossroad trials, will determine our heart. (Proverbs 3:5,6) We are to trust in the Lord. To pray about things before considering, Get direction from God.

Daily Guideline: Bible: look to Scriptures for direction. (Deut 17:19) If the bible is good enough for a king than its good enough for me. We are to look to eternity not earthly temporary rewards. (I Samuel 14:6) And Jonathan said to the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised.

1. Have Godly friends, 2.

2. Get little decisions right. (Being kind, being generous, obeying mum and dad, reading bible, being faithful in church). Daniel had a plan in his heart (before) what he was going to do ahead of time. We are to PURPOSE in our HEARTS also, by getting a PLAN in our hearts first. Sometimes doing whats right, which looks hard, just do it, dont worry how hard it will be. (Seek, trust Him).

Pastor Anger

The Israelites had a three week trip to get to the Promised Land. In the end it they stayed in the wilderness for 40 years and only Joshua and Caleb were the ones that made it to that promise land. The Israelites were described as a hard and stiffnecked people. Pastor commented that Israel is one of the worst country to reach people for salvation. (Numbers 21:5) And the people spake against God, and against Moses, wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread..... Think before we go around running down the Pastor, remember he is the anointed leader. Moses was the appointed leader of the Israelites. They the Israelites became sick of the provision that God had given them. (v6) And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died. What right do we have to remove the consequences? (v8) And the LORD said unto Moses, make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. (Romans 5:19) For as by one man disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. (Psalms 51:5) Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. (Psalms 58:3) The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they are born, speaking lies.

(John 3:14) And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up. We tonight have a choice, Jesus talking to Pharisees. (John 13:7) Jesus answered and said unto him, what I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter. We are rotten on the inside, we need daily washing. People see us for what we are on the outside. Hypocrites. We pretend to be something that we are not. We are what we look at, what we hear, what comes out of our mouths, what things we do.

Pastor Dan

Pestilence destroyed the people in 3 days affecting 70,000. (II Samuel 24:18) And Gad came that day to David, and said unto him, Go up, rear an altar unto the LORD in the threshingfloor of Araunah the Jebusite. David makes a great statement in (v24) Its not a sacrifice to give something to God if it didnt cost you anything. God would like sacrifice from us. God said that we need to willingly serve God. We have to pick up our cross daily. Count the cost. (Luke 14:33) Forsaking all that we have to be his discliple. Be prepared to have some sacrifices. Put the Lord first. Its going to cost something to serve God. When we get to heaven and gives out the rewards, He will be giving out rewards to those that sacrifice. Its really stupid how we get ourselves into silly childish things (stupidity), things like why do i have to wear a skirt..etc. Our Christianity better cost us something. The disciples sacrificed, Stephen, Paul, John, etc. This really meant something to God. (II Corinthians 11:23). We are commanded to sacrifice. (Romans 12:1)...living sacrifice, its our reasonable service. If our Christianity is not costing anything, why bother. We are called to sacrifice for God. We cannot all be disciples but we can still sacrifice, we need to make that decision for God. (Malachi 1:6) A son honoureth his father and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? And if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests that despise my name. (v7) And ye say, Wherein have we polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say, wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of the LORD is contemptible. (v10,11) polluted, pretended to serve the Lord. Our God is a great God, and He deserves our sacrifice. What am I going to serve Him with? Time, effort, finances? LOOK for the difficult, LOOK for the sacrifice TODAY.

Pastor Anger

Crossing the line is sin. Many Christians spend time too close to the line. Stay away from the edge. Theres no business going over the line.

Iniquity: Twist, crooked, pervert something. Experts at twisting the the word of God, to feel better about ourselves. We are all bitten by the same snake. (II Tim 3:2) For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, (v3) without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good (v4) Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

II Tim 2:22) Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. The flesh is deadly, like being in a pit full of snakes. We are no match for the devil, He justs laughs at us. Pornography happens when we watch too much tv. Dont feed the flesh! The devil is invisible. You feed the monster, you FAIL? Abstain from all appearances of evil! Say no! (Romans 13:14) But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make NO provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof. We are not liontamers, we are not snakehandlers either so to speak. Every sin starts small in the beginning and get bigger etc. (Philippians 4:8) We are to think on these things recorded in (Philippians 4:8).

Usually all that in on tv is ungodly. (II Corinthians 10:5) Every thought that is not pure needs to be captured before heading to the heart. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Conscious Mind and Unconscious Mind

Conscious Mind is our heads

Our conscious mind is where the all the information etc comes in and then will travel in to our heart.

Our unconscious mind contains a mind emotion and will.

We will never know Gods will for our lives if we harbour sin in our hearts. Confess sins today.( we tell God what we have done, and say sorry for the sin, asking Him to forgive us.)

The heart carries the issues of life. The will component of the heart makes the decisions. The heart protects the self interest of the person. It is programmed to protect. If you have not dealt with things, issues become bigger and bigger. The heart carries every broken family thoughts, every unconfessed sin, every thing not dealt with, all the issues not dealt with. Every moment where some one has offended, and hurt us. (Ask God to help forget the issues once confessed. God can help us to forget.)

Pastor Tim

As we go back to our homes, are we going to go back to our old ways? (Mat7:13) God promises that He will not leave us or forsake us. We are to apply what we have learnt. We are going to face crossroads everyday. Which way to turn at intersections, how long to wait at intersections etc. It is up to us to make those choices.( I Peter 5:8) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Look for opportunities to trust God. (I Corinthians 10:13) Escapes from temptations.

Have a vision

Maintain 3 visions . The Lord Jesus Christ

. Heaven

. Hell and those that are going there.

We are to be responsible (Romans 13 :11) , (Mat 5:13)

Some suggested goals to maybe work towards

Make some goals for this year to serve God. Eg Read your bible from cover to cover. Read a proverb a day. Decide to live for God for the whole year? Distribute minimum of three gospels tracts out a day? Give 10% to missions? Work towards full time service? Plan time for Spiritual activities? Pray that God will lead you to a soul waiting for salvation? Train up your Spiritual man. (I Corinthians 9:24), Choose to serve daily.? Big decisions are a result of a lot of small decisions (Hebrews 4:12) (Psalms 119:105)
