Finding the Will of God Pastor Mata Taputu 1. The Will of God is in His Word (Psalms 119:105) Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. (Psalms 119:130) The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. (Psalms 119:133) Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. 2. The Will of God relates to your Spiritual Gift (Romans 12:6) Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; (Spiritual gifts) 3. The Will of God to the open door that God gives you (Revelation 3:8) I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it; for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. (Acts 16:6) Now when they had gone throughtout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the work in Asia, (Acts 16:8) And they passing by Mysia came down to Troas. God's purpose was for them to go to Macedonia 4. Specific Will of God depends on our obedience. His Will will not be revealed until the basic or general will is done. Knowing the doctrine of God's will. (John 7:17) If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. (Psalm 37:23) The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. 5. The Will of God may not make rational or logical sense to us. (Proverbs 16:3) Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established. (Isaiah 55:8) For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 6. The Will of God is further understood as you continue to submit to obey every step God reveals to you. (Luke 22:42) Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my
